My desire as a counselor is to provide a judgement free and confidential zone for you to express yourself and work on self-growth. I find it valuable to be able to know yourself and build your best life based on who you are and who you aim to be. I have embraced my life-long passion for listening to others and pursued an education in how to effectively guide people to be their more fulfilled, mentally healthy selves. I believe counseling can be beneficial for anyone looking for resolutions and self-improvement. In any given area, there is room for improvement and healing. I aim to guide you through whatever you may be facing and to be an advocate for you to trust.
My past 3 years as a Child and Adolescent Therapist at Prairie St. John’s has provided me the skill and knowledge to help kids ages 8-18 process through past and current traumatic experiences, build skills to cope with negative emotions, improve distress tolerance, and find inner peace. My year as an intern-level Counselor at the NDSU College Counseling Center has provided me the ability and desire to work with adults who are facing career and future concerns, family and relationship conflicts, and stress/time management. I spent 6 months doing In Home Family Therapy where I helped to resolve family level conflicts by improving communication, resolving past and current conflicts, and rebuilding relationships.
